Skills of Ashenfall: Horticulture

Take a cutting from one plant, graft it onto something you grew, and see what's there at dawn. Maybe an ash tree full of potatoes. Maybe an oak with cabbages in it. Horticulture is a new skill, levels 1 to 25, and you have to earn it first.

Needs UE4SS 3.0.1 for Dragonwilds, ESL:DragonWilds 1.0.0 and Skills of Ashenfall: Historian 1.0.0 or later.

To unlock it you need Historian 25 and Farming 25. Then find the Annotated Hymnal in Bramblemead Valley and read it. Below Historian 25 you can't make out the older writing between the hymns.

Aim at a plant and press G to take a cutting, then press G on a crop, sapling or tree you planted to graft it. At dawn the graft either takes or it doesn't. A graft that takes changes how the plant looks, and the first of each pairing goes in your Discovery Catalogue.

There are five named hybrids, like Tuberwood Ash (potatoes from an ash tree) and Weeping Oak, plus a lot of other pairings, each with its own look. A crop growing on a tree can be picked once a day.

Very rarely, a cabbage grafted onto a cabbage grows a Brassica Primelet instead. Look after it for five days and it turns into a Mini Brassica Prime, with its own name, a personality and opinions on your cooking. Raise as many as you like.
